Spring is here! Break away from the cold, dark days of winter and have some fun (and get some Vitamin D) in the sun. Get outside and run, bike, walk or just stroll through your local farmers market.

This monthly email will give you tips on the 6 components to a complete and healthy life. Enjoy your April monthly tips!

Stress:
Ever think the way you carry yourself can add to stress? Well it can...Hold your head and shoulders upright and avoid slumping. Bad posture can actually lead to muscle tension, pain, and increased stress.

Sleep:
Relaxing your body before bed is key to getting good zzzs. Try wiggling your toes 12-15 times while laying on your back. This will relax your entire body and prepare it for sleep.

Fluids:
Pick up some mint at the grocery store. You may normally use mint for cooking, but try adding it to a cold pitcher of water for a new, refreshing twist. An added bonus? Mint is especially great to help settle a nervous stomach.

Personal Time:

Exercise:
Split your work out session in two. A new study in the Journal of Applied Physiology found that taking a break in the middle of your workout may be better than doing one long workout. Exercisers who separated two, 30 minute workout sessions with a 20 minute rest session metabolized more fat than those who worked out for one straight hour.

Diet:
4PM energy slump got you down? Try a new spicy snack! The same compound that gives cayenne pepper its heat, works in the brain to activate neurons and increase the production of adrenaline, giving you an energy boost when you need it the most. Try topping air-popped popcorn with a sprinkle of cayenne, or mix a pinch into your hummus.
